Here is the red fungus painting finished. What do I call it? One friend suggested “Not Mush Room”. I don’t know about this….

This is the latest work in progress on the board. I saw this nestled amongst leaf litter up at Eaglereach Wilderness Retreat, and have since been told it’s a fungi. Bizarre, but a small splash of colour in an otherwise drab surrounding. The work is in pastel.

Here is another one I am working on at the moment – another landscape and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I spent a day on the local beaches taking some reference shots and decided to turn a couple of them into paintings. I still have a fair bit of work to do on the sand and trees but it’s coming together nicely.
